We offer three prompting equipment set up scenarios...

2-Glass Lectern Kit

Equipment used for conference-style events

Manual Poles

Often referred to as a Presidential System, its a classic 2-glass manual lectern setup.

The metal base holds the LCD monitor and adjustable metal pole in position.
At the top of the pole, a bracket holds the reflective glass plate in position.

We also provide black monitor hides, for a professional finish.

Height from 0.50m - 1.6m

L x W 380mm x 375mm

Motorised Poles

For occasions where the presentation involves more than one speaker - particularly if they are of different heights - electric programmable poles are available.

The motorised poles are remotely controlled by the operator and can be set during rehearsals, heights stored and re-called for each presenter.

Height from 0.52m - 1.98m

Weight 10 kg

L x W  445mm x 375mm

Weight of 2 electric poles in Zarges case 27kg

On-Camera Units

Equipment used for camera shoots and broadcasting events

On-camera unit 15” or 10” monitors

The 15" is most commonly used for video and film work.
The on-camera unit is fixed onto the camera tripod.

The script is relayed from the LCD flat panel via a reflective one way mirror positioned in front of the camera lens.

Our on-camera units cater for every combination of platform and camera, from on-the-shoulder ENG systems to the biggest studio pedestals.

The 10" On Camera unit is particularly useful for shoots with smaller DSLR cameras as well as on jibs which cannot hold the heavier units.

Rolling tripod set up

The rolling tripod stand can be used when an on-camera rig is not necessary.

This setup can be used to save time for small static shoots, when the camera is not suitable for a heavy unit attachment, or simply when the speaker needs a freestanding prompt screen to read from.

Note - smaller tripods and cameras will need our free standing monitor set up.

Please specify when booking.

Monitor Feed

Laptops and Software

We provide Macbook Airs and Dell PCs installed with the latest high spec prompting software outputting HDMI, DVI, VGA or composite video signals.

An extra machine is provided free of charge; we run this simultaneously as a back up machine.

The bespoke hand controller is used by the operator to control the scrolling speed to match the presenters natural pace.

We can also provide a compact ROLAND V-02HD MK|| HDMI switcher upon request, as well as a black magic HDMI to SDI convertor.
